Wherever I look, Instagram, Pinterest, and other food blogs, spaghetti squash seems to be quite the popular dish. I myself can’t even believe it has taken me this long to try it.
Spaghetti squash is the perfect alternative if you want a substitute for spaghetti. It offers plenty of vitamins, minerals, and accounts for only 42 calories in a 10 cup serving. This truly is a great substitute for those who wish to try an alternative style of spaghetti. Fortunately spaghetti squash is usually available in most supermarkets year round and is extremely simple to prepare.
- Spaghetti Squash
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Preheat the oven to 400F
- Cut both ends off the spaghetti Squash.
- Cut it in half end to end.
- Coat both pieces of the squash, front and back, in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Put both pieces on a baking tray with the inside facing up.
- Bake for 35 min.
- Once out of the oven, pass a fork through the inside of the squash and it should separate into stands.
- Top with your favorite spaghetti sauce and enjoy!
