THE Movement – BBG All Around the World

For those of you who know what the BBG (Bikini Body Guide) by Kayla Itsines is, then great. For those of you who don’t, it’s a 12 week workout plan. What does this have to do with my cooking blog? Close to nothing, but it IS important to me.

Today, Monday, January 5th, 2015, is a very important day all over the world. Today is the day where women from anywhere and everywhere start the BBG guide together and support each other throughout the next 12 weeks, completing each obstacle together as a team.

You don’t have to be skinny, fat, normal, malnourished, in shape, or whatever else you can think of; all you have to do is be committed to a change. Now, you might ask yourself what change means but unfortunately for you I cannot define what change means to every individual on the planet; I can only define what change means to me.

I am a 21 year old girl that attends University. I am slim but not in the best physical shape. I used to do a lot of cardio in the hopes of becoming fit, but there were some things that did not change. I stumbled upon Kayla’s Instagram one day and got inspired. This young woman redefined determination, willpower, and strength for many ladies. She gave them newfound confidence that no one else could because no one could understand what they needed change for. Kayla encourages a healthy lifestyle, one that suits YOU best. With this, my new goal is to have a healthy lifestyle and become fit and defined, and lastly to finish Kayla’s 12 week BBG.

I had already finished the first two weeks of the BBG guide, but with New years and Christmas I felt that some things were lacking. So in light of this movement that starts today, on January 5th, 2015, I am starting the BBG from the beginning and joining all the other brave women that made a choice.

Despite a little cold – YES, I HAVE A SMALL COLD AND I STILL DID IT – I went ahead and completed the first day of the first week of the Kayla Itsines BBG. [But please ladies, don’t workout when you are really ill, I did it because I needed to workout a little. I am not ill to the point of not being able to exert physical effort.]

And in spirit of my cooking blog and my little cold, I went ahead and make myself a healthy homemade juice as a reward! YUMYUMYUM! Carrots, orange, clementines, ginger, and an apple… the best!

Happy Eating and Happy Workout!
