Growing up in a family with a French mother, a staple dish we would get served was the classic Quiche Lorraine. There are many ways you can make this dish but obviously like most of us individuals who are big fans of our mums, mums recipe is always the best.
For some reason I’ve been thinking about this dish for a few weeks now and I am not one to ignore my cravings! I’ve just been too busy/lazy to do anything about it (guilty, I know). Nonetheless, I finally got to making it and it was scrum-didli-icicous 🙂
Usually, a quiche would be made with a crust but because I am trying to kick crusts and bread and pasta in the rear, I decided to make this quiche lorraine without a crust. Luckily, this is not a runny quiche and it holds on it’s own without a crust!
The Quiche Lorraine I made was personal so it served me and only me – I wouldn’t have it any other way! The best part is that it is super easy to make and cute for seated dinners, one on ones, or even just for yourself. 🙂
Serves: 1
Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 25 – 30 min

Preparation:

- In a bowl, mix together egg, milk, and flour.
- Add cheese and salt and mix in.
- Butter your ramekin and line it with flour to prevent the quiche from sticking.
- Place your ham bits in your ramekin.
- Put the mixture in your ramekin on top of your ham bits.
- Evenly spread the ham in the ramekin.
- Place in the oven for 25 – 30 mins or until golden on the edges.
