One thing I learned growing up is to be creative! My fridge and pantry is always full of différent things i love and there isn’t always time to plan what you are going to make.
The other day I wanted to pair a piece of salmon with something. I looked in my fridge and decided that a quinoa salad would be perfect! I had some pomegranates and thought that would add a nice touch along with a drizzle of pomegranate molasses. YUM!
Grilled Salmon
Ingredients:
•A piece of Salmon
•Olive Oil
•Rosemary
•Salt
•Pepper
Instructions:
•Drizzle some Olive oil at the bottom of a baking dish
•Place the salmon in the dish
•Drizzle some Olive oil over the salmon
•Sprinkle some Rosemary, salt, and pepper over the salmon
•Bake
Quinoa Salad
Ingredients:
•Quinoa
•Radish
•Carrots
•Cucumber
•Yellow bell pepper
•Lemon
•Olive oil
•Salt
•Pepper
Preparation
•Cook the quinoa as instructed on the package
•Let the quinoa cool down once it is ready
•Chop your cucumber, radish, carrots, bell pepper
•Add your chopped vegetables to your quinoa
•Add the juice from the lemon, olive oil, salt, and pepper to make the dressing
Presentation
•Put your quinoa salad on the bottom of the plate
•Sprinkle some pomegranate seeds on top
•Place your baked salmon on top
•Drizzle some pomegranate molasses over your salmon
•Sprinkle some more pomegranate seeds so there are some on your fish
***Try this: I love to eat my grilled salmon with green tobacco!
